Partner Testing - Post signup

At a Glance: This article will help you understand how you can test the flow and working of postback after you have signed up to the platform as a "Partner"

Access to Demo Application

  • Once you sign in to your account after setting up basic details such as postbacks you will see an option of "Request Test Application Access"

  • Click on that option and you will see that you have got access to the application named "Simulator App"

  • Inside the application go to the Profile Image -> Postback Configuration -> Install Postback

  • You can choose the tracking platform of your choice from the Tracking Platform dropdown and choose the POST method. In case you choose Trackier please ensure that you obtain the security_token via the Trackier platform and paste it into the postback URL on the partner panel.

  • Enable the postback button and submit the settings

Perform In-app Activities

  • Go to the integration tab click on attribution links and copy the click tracking URL. Using this URL will redirect you to the Google Play Store where you will need to install the "simulator app".

  • Upon installing the application you can perform the in-app activity of "Add to cart" or "Purchase" and can view the results as part of the Apptrove reports. Below is a video for a walkthrough of the process.

Note: Please do not change any macro as part of the tracking links. The AppTrove system will automatically pick up the dynamic data. Also, please ensure to use a real device to test things out and not use any fake device or emulator

Reports

  • Go to Event Report to view the app in-app activity attributed to you via the link.

  • You will see that it has recorded the purchase and product view as part of the events.

  • If you click on the dashboard you can even see the install count as you have installed the application via your tracking link.
